Send Ratings at the end of a mentor–founder meeting (or right after) to capture fast, honest feedback while the conversation is still fresh.
To be eligible to send a rating, a meeting must meet all of the following:
→ Meeting is Scheduled or Completed
→ Meeting date is today or earlier
→ Only 1 Donated attendee and at least 1 Received attendee
→ Meeting type is a Mentoring or Second Opinion session
We already tested Founder Ratings in a 6-week pilot across 7 offices, and the results were strong.
From 153 eligible mentorship meetings:
104 had ratings sent and 60 received responses from founders — a ~56% response rate via WhatsApp
In total, 40% of mentorship meetings had feedback, up from ~5% from before.
Teams gained clearer visibility into meeting quality, faster follow-ups, and stronger signals on mentor effectiveness.
“Response rates increased significantly. It’s now much easier to track feedback, and when we clearly explain why the survey matters to founders, we see a strong increase in both response volume and the quality of insights from mentorship sessions”
(Pilot program participant).

To maximize response rates: Confirm the phone number and send the message while the founder is still with you in the meeting, or immediately after (even if the meeting isn’t yet marked as Completed)

“We’re testing a quick way to collect feedback on our mentorship sessions. I’m sending you a short survey right now via WhatsApp or email.
Your feedback is anonymous to the mentor and really helps us improve our support. It’s just 3 quick questions!”

Tip to maximize response rates: Always explain what the rating is and how we will use the information. This incentivizes founders to respond and leave honest feedback.

Founders receive a short survey with 3 questions:
Mentors cannot see individual responses. Feedback is internal only.

Good practice: Ask which channel the founder prefers to receive the rating. If WhatsApp isn’t getting responses, ask at the next touchpoint whether they’d prefer email instead.

Tip to maximize response rates: Enable automatic follow-ups, and if there’s still no response after that, send a manual follow-up to those who haven’t responded.
