Summary

✏️ Onboarding your panelists

While our teams play a core role, much of the selection process hinges on ensuring we have equipped top-tier panelists to uphold the highest standards at the LSP.

Panelist onboarding can take many forms, however, the most successful onboarding includes:

  1. Endeavor mentorships: Engaging potential panelists through mentorship to introduce them to the Endeavor approach before they join as LSP panelists.
  2. Onboarding materials: The below materials are designed to guide panelist training. Please make a copy and customize it for your office’s needs, whether for the LSP binder or as pre-reading for onboarding calls.
  3. Onboarding calls: Holding a pre-LSP call to review the selection criteria, process, and any outstanding questions is pivotal in ensuring a panelist is prepared for their first panel.

Local Office Observers

  1. Prepare for Future Candidates: LO staff are encouraged to observe ISPs, even without a candidate on the panel. Observing ISPs can give insight into how panelists approach various companies and industries. This sharpens your ability to prepare future candidates and play a bigger role in the selection journey. You can join for a few interviews, just deliberations, or the entire panel—whatever fits your schedule! To join a virtual ISP, reach out directly to your MD. MDs are shared on all virtual ISP invites. Please click here to view the full staff observer policy:
    1. In interviews - Local Office observers must join from one shared device, rather than multiple individual computers. Observers are to remain off video and on mute throughout.
    2. In deliberations - observers are welcome to join individually or together. Observers are to remain off video and on mute throughout.
  2. Learn from ISP Moderators: LO staff who moderate LSPs can greatly benefit from observing ISPs. These sessions highlight best practices for managing discussions, steering panelists toward insightful questions, and reaching thoughtful conclusions—skills that can directly improve future LSPs.

LSP Panelist Observers

  1. Panelist Onboarding: LO staff can invite aspiring LSP panelists to observe ISPs as part of their onboarding. It’s an eye-opening experience, letting them see the depth of discussions, how interviews are handled, and what’s expected from top-notch panelists. This prepares them to engage at a higher level during LSPs. To invite an external observer, please reach out to [email protected] to clear the observer for conflicts and approve their attendance.
  2. Sharpen Contribution Skills: Watching seasoned panelists helps new panelists learn to ask the right questions, analyze companies thoughtfully, and offer meaningful insights during deliberations. Observing ISPs is key to building the skills they will need to succeed in future panels.
