Below is a list of different menu items you will see. I will explain each in further detail in the next section. If a particular section is not listed below, you can ignore it.
- Home Page: where you will edit all of your home page content. Click below to learn how to edit each specific section of the homepage:
- Featured Companies
- Company Profiles
- Link Highlights
- Testimonials
- Bottom CTAs
- Knowledge Center & Events: where you will add blog posts.
- Media: where all of your backend files live, such as photos, videos, logos, and documents you are hosting.
- Companies: where you will add and edit companies for the Entrepreneur Company directory.
- Profiles: if you would like to feature more detailed company profiles (completely optional), this is where they will be created.
- Pages: you will find and create all of your website pages here.
- HubSpot: once HubSpot is set up for your office, you can access it here. You will use this plugin (versus hubspot.com) mostly when creating new forms.
- Appearance: there are two subsections you will use here: Customize and Menus.
- **Customize** (see below): you use this to edit your site tagline, tooltip text (such as the Outlier text on the company directory), Footer content (such as social media links and site name), the Alert Bar, Google Tag Manager tracking code, and Cookies Disclaimer.
- **Menus:** this is where you will customize each of the menus on the website (main navigation, mobile navigation, utility bar (black bar up top), and footer navigations).
- Plugins: you will see all of the plugins installed on the website here, however, new ones can only be installed by Global. Since the website theme is so custom, new plugins have the potential of breaking the website, so they must be approved first.
- Users: where new users to your site can be added. You can add new admins from your team or give colleagues more limited access, such as only to create blog posts.
- Tools: the only tool from this section you will likely use is Safe Redirect Manager. This tool allows you to create simpler redirects (for instance https://endeavor.org/gala).
- Settings: you can ignore this for the most part. The one part you may use is FacetWP and only if you need to create translations for some parts of your website.
- WPML: this is for the translation plugin, but you should not need to use this section. Everything will be set up for your chosen language when you receive the template.
Customize Section
While you will not be using this section often, you will use it for a few key things.
